English Language Challenges
I remember when I was a child and lived in Puerto Montt I loved my English classes. I worked hard to get good grades and I learned all the songs in English.
However, the bigger I got, the less I liked the language, to this day, that I find myself learning English at the university.
Maybe this is because I like few writers / musicians / filmmakers whose language is English. If they forced us to learn a language such as German or Russian, surely I would like to study it.
In college I had to go through the four levels of English, however, I can not say that it was difficult for me to pass each year, despite having no ability for that language. I think that more than skill, you need to be constant and responsible, which I have tried to be these years.
I have also had good English teachers, with good training, very methodological and responsible.
The main problem with learning English at the university, in my opinion, is the few hours of practice that the student has. Only three hours a week! Clearly one forgets what they taught him last week, especially students like me, with a bad memory and with little predisposition to learn a language they do not like.
When I go to my house I see the movies with dubbing, I do not pay attention to the lyrics of the songs and sincerely I do not try to learn English because at this moment I do not need it.
Maybe in the future, when it's time I'll give my hundred percent to be an American speaker.
